There is Always Much to be Learned in Times of Crisis
As the world grapples with COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic causing major disruptions in our daily lives, I am reminded of the writings of the ancient Hebrew king, Solomon. He wrote, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”
This world has been afflicted with infectious diseases in the past and will face more in the future. Please pay attention to, and heed the advice of health professionals. There is always much to be learned during times of crisis and the science community will benefit from what is learned from this issue.
In compliance with local officials and the host of this year’s GLF Leadership Summit, the Danforth Plant Science Center, we have rescheduled the event to September 17, 2020. Please be safe and stay healthy.
